Next Phase of Wichelstowe Swindon

Following the successful construction of the Wilts & Berks Canal at East Wichel, plans have been published as part of a consultation for the next phase of the development.
The restored Wilts & Berks Canal will be a major part of Middle and West Wichel .
The new District Centre will include opportunities for the enjoyment of the waterside with canal-side restaurants and cafes.

Natwest Community Force have announced that a Swindon project has been succesful in securing funds for works to safeguard and improve the canal bank at Westleaze

Over 100 members of the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust met at Derry Hill on Saturday 15th October 2011 following tours of the restored canal at Pewsham.
The guest speaker was John Bridgeman deputy Chairman of British Waterways and transition trustee for the Canal & River Trust
